Abstract

PEDRO HUAMAN, Juan J et al. Production of Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 var. mutant israelensis (Bacillaceae) by the action of hydroxylamine chloride. Arnaldoa [online]. 2019, vol.26, n.3, pp.1143-1152. ISSN 1815-8242.  http://dx.doi.org/10.22497/arnaldoa.263.26319.

In the present work, the production of mutant Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 var. israelensis (Bacillaceae) by the action of hydroxylamine chloride, was evaluated. The experimental design was completely randomized, with a control and three mutagen concentrations 10, 20 and 30 ppm with three repetitions for each. The bioprocess was carried out using agitated and aerated cylindrical tank bioreactors, with a microbial inoculum of 108 CFU / ml for 48 hours at a temperature of 30 ° C and an initial pH of 7,0, which decreased to a final value of 6,0. Obtaining the highest production of bioinsecticide at the concentration of 20 ppm. Which was quantified in grams of dry weight per liter (2,10 g / L). Evidence that there is no direct relationship between the production of bioinsecticide and the concentration of the mutagen.
