Abstract

We present the frequent anthropic threats and disasters in the Private Conservation Area (PCA) named Lomas Cerro Campana (Trujillo and Ascope provinces, La Libertad region, Peru), from 1989 until 2019, on natural (flora and fauna) and cultural (archaeological evidence) diversity; such as: urban expansion, non-metallic mining, change of land use, fires and a load capacity of visitors (tourist) or uncontrolled environmental. The National University of Trujillo since July 26, 2016 is in charge of protecting this fragile ecosystem and has developed strategies to counter these threats or reduce their impacts, in order to promote their conservation, scientific research and the development of a responsable tourism.
