The present study was quantitative, relational, observational, prospective, transversal and analytical, whose objective was to determine the periodontal disease relationship and chew chacchadores of "coca" Erithroxylum coca (Erythroxylaceae) leaf with lime consumption in civil construction workers of the National University Toribio Rodriguez de Mendoza de Amazonas - 2018. The sample consisted of 81 workers, male between the ages of 19 to 60 years. Data was collected using a data collection sheet and Ramfjord Periodontal Index. The hypothesis was contrasted by the non-parametric chi square statistical test, with a significance level of 0.05, which resulted in gingivitis with 76.5% (62), with 49.4% chacchadores (40) and non-chacchadores being the 27.2% (22). As for periodontitis, 23.5% have it (19), with 17.3% chacchadores (14) and 6.2% are non-chacchadores (5). In conclusion, there is no relationship between periodontal disease and chacchadores of coca with lime in civil construction workers of the National University Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza de Amazonas-2018 (Chi square = 0.550; gl = 1; p = 0.458> 0.05).
