Abstract

PEDRO HUAMAN, Juan J. et al. Toxicity of Physalis peruviana L. (Solanaceae) “aguaymanto” decoction calyx to Artemia salina of the III larval stage. Arnaldoa [online]. 2020, vol.27, n.2, pp.561-570. ISSN 1815-8242.  http://dx.doi.org/10.22497/arnaldoa.272.27208.

On the present investigacion was determinated the toxicity of the of calyx decoction of Physalis peruviana L. (Solanaceae) “aguaymanto” in the Artemia salina model. The experimental design was completely randomized, it had eight treatments including the control: 0, 50, 250, 500, 2500, 5000, 12500 and 25000 ppm. of “aguaymanto” calyx decoction Physalis peruviana L.; each treatment with three repetitions. The experimental units were composed of 100 uL from each group and 10 nauplii from stage III, in Eppendorf vials of 2ml. After 24 hours, the number of dead larvae and the LD50 were determined using the free version R statistical program. The LD50 had a value of 10258.02 ppm of P. peruviana calyx decoct, after 24 hours of exposure to A. salina. The decoction evaluated has low toxicity on the larvae of the III larval stage.

Keywords : Toxicity; nauplii; medium lethal dose; decoction; aguaymanto.
