Abstract

ANAZCO URBINA, Biverly; RIVERA LOPEZ, Rosalynn Yohanna  and  PARIENTE MONDRAGON, Eli. Diversity and floristic composition of an area of montane forest, San Carlos, Bongará, Amazonas. Arnaldoa [online]. 2021, vol.28, n.3, pp.441-458.  Epub Dec 31, 2021. ISSN 1815-8242.  http://dx.doi.org/10.22497/arnaldoa.283.28301.

The research was carried out in the San Carlos district, Bongará province, Amazonas department, through the location of a permanent plot of 1 ha, at an altitude of 2158 m.s.n.m., with the objective of knowing the diversity and floristic composition present in the study area. In the field phase all tree individuals with diameter at breast height (DAP) ≥ 10 cm were included. A total of 395 individuals distributed in 22 families, 27 genera and 29 species were recorded. The results of the florist composition in the plot located in the montane forest indicate that the most diverse families were Melastomataceae, Meliaceae, Fabaceae, Lauraceae and Rubiaceae; the most abundant species in the plot were Trichilia dazae with 72 individuals (18%), Nectandra sp.1 with 46 individuals (12%) and Heliocarpus americanus with 39 individuals (10%). The mixture quotient was 0.07, Fisher's alpha value was 7.21, indicating a forest of lower diversity compared to other established permanent plots in Peruvian montane forests.

Keywords : Montane forest; permanent plot; composition and floristic diversity.
