Abstract

Based on comparison of literature and herbarium sheets, the new variety Rhodoscirpus asper (J. Presl & C. Presl) Léveillé-Bourret, Donadío & J. R. Starr var. yurensis var. nov. is described for the populations on rocky fissures with hanging leaves from the canyon of La Paccha ravine (Yura, Arequipa, Peru).
