The present study aimed to determine the different types of parasites in muscle tissue and organs analyzed in fish for human consumption from the Mercado Mayorista de Buenos Aires, Trujillo, La Libertad, Peru during the year 2019, in eight species of marine fishes: Mugil cephalus "mullet fish”, Sciaena deliciosa “lorna fish”, Scomber japonicus “mackerel fish”, Sarda chiliensis chiliensis “bonito fish”, Trachurus murphyi “horse mackerel”, Mustelus mento “white shark”, Mustelus whitneyi “common shark” and Myliobatis chilensis “eagle ray”, which are sold for direct human consumption. 30 specimens of each species were obtained at random and analyzed throughout the year. Eighteen species of parasites were found, belonging to four Phylum and seven Classes: Platyhelminthes: Monogenea, Trematoda, Digenea, Cestoda; Nematoda: Chromadorea; Arthropoda: Hexanauplia, Malacostraca; Acanthocephala: Palaeaconthocephala. 100% of the lisa specimens presented parasites, the lorna fish had a prevalence of 70%, followed by white shark with 53.53%, bonito fish with 40.00%, horse mackerel with 33.33%, mackerel fish with 23.33%, common shark with 10% and eagle ray with 6.67%. Likewise, the highest parasite intensity was observed by mullet fish with 404 parasites from 9 species in particular.
