GUANIPA RAMIREZ, Luis F. and ANGULO GIRALDO, Miguel Ángel. Social identity in education: towards citizen engagement. Desde el Sur [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.1, pp.155-166. ISSN 2076-2674. http://dx.doi.org/10.21142/des-1201-2020-0010.

Social identity is seen as the sense of belonging to society experienced by the individual, through the adopting of behaviors and ways of thinking which significantly influence the formation of civic values, particularly with regard to participation in civic decision making.
