The purpose of this work is to reflect on the practice and task of social research, principally that which is understood as committed or militant. Thus, this study seeks firstly to raise awareness regarding the authority that researchers have. Secondly, the limits and limitations of the category of the subaltern will be explored, as an example of the categories and designations used within this type of research. Finally, the author will attempt to address the challenges associated with the practice of committed research.
