JARA, Katherine. "Water for everything, but not for everyone". An educational experience in the field of social sciences during the health emergency. Desde el Sur [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.2, e0020. ISSN 2076-2674.  http://dx.doi.org/10.21142/des-1302-2021-0020.

The teaching and learning of social sciences involve multiple challenges, which were augmented as a result of the current health emergency. The implementation of remote education prompted new opportunities that took advantage of existing infrastructure (both domestic and institutional) and digital skills, among other factors.

This article focuses on an educational experience that integrated project-based learning (PBL) and collaborative learning in fifth-year high school students at a private institution in a northern district of Lima.

The results suggest that such methodologies enable both the autonomous and active development of students in the construction of their own learning. In addition, they contribute to the formation of reflective and critical thinking, thereby aiding the development of personal skills required in daily life.

Palavras-chave : Project-based learning; collaborative learning; secondary education; social sciences.
