The Quechua testimony has been studied and defined from the perspective of the theories proposed by North American and Latin American academia. This perspective has contributed to an understanding of the conflicts and tensions that were generated during its production and the political-aesthetic dimension in which it emerged. But it does not explain why in these texts we find myths, hualinas, watuchikuna (riddles) and symbolism involving plants (potatoes, maize) and animals, as well as other types of knowledge concerning health, illness, social distribution, ayni, minka, and so on. Thus, from a culturalist perspective, in this article our goal is to identify what the runa understand by testimony, and to demonstrate that Quechua testimony is a loom, a type of text that reveals the scriptural creativeness of the runa, because it constructs a multiplicity of images-fabrics, and to show how this practice is bound up with the writing -in the broadest sense- of the Quechua quillca.
