Abstract

GOMEZ CALDERON(, Tania. Tambo Inga: Perceptions and heritage valuation of the walls of my community. Devenir [online]. 2022, vol.9, n.18, pp.155-173.  Epub Nov 01, 2022. ISSN 2312-7562.  http://dx.doi.org/doi.org/10.21754/devenir.v9i18.1303.

The inter-district area of northern Lima had a vast pre-Hispanic domain of which many buildings still survive; however, urban growth and the need for new spaces, together with the neglect of these elements, have led to a reduction of areas corresponding to archaeological sites. Such is the case of Tambo Inga, located in Puente Piedra, whose process reflects its decadence despite its high urban potential. In this sense, the objective is to determine which are the most predominant heritage values perceived about Tambo Inga, from the point of view of public administration institutions, professionals related to the research topic and the civil society who have daily contact with the huaca and work in the dissemination of monuments. The method used is that of carrying out surveys and interviews with heritage subjects, as well as a tour for the recognition of the current state, obtaining as results the social appropriation of Tambo Inga and the perspective of achieving the enhancement to turn the huaca into a cultural tourist attraction in North Lima.

Keywords : Tambo Inga; pre-Hispanic architecture; heritage values.
