Basic Information

BIBLIOS basic Information is a peer-reviewed international electronic journal, of free access and specialized in library and information science (LIS). The principal objective of BIBLIOS is to promote scientific and academic research on LIS.

BIBLIOS publishes research articles and assays of information of professionals from different areas: librarians, archivists, documentalists, museologists, etc. thus becoming a communication channel on the development and progress of the different areas of the information science.

Among the main themes addressed by BIBLIOS, the following should be pointed out: information science, bibliometrics, library science, documentation, knowledge management, information for development, archives, museology, promotion of the reading, information and communication technologies, information literacy; among others.

Financing Sources: BIBLIOS is a self-financed publication and sustained with the collective and voluntary support of information professionals of different countries.
