Basic information
   

The Digital Journal of Research in University Teaching (RIDU) publishes articles evaluated by experts, in which scientific research results about university teaching and higher education are socialized. The RIDU editorial team guarantees compliance with the necessary criteria and the review process in order to select original research articles with high scientific quality. RIDU is edited and financed by the Office of Research and Institutional Effectiveness of the Quality Assurance Directorate of the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).

The magazine receives the following types of contributions for publication, according to the theme of the magazine:

  • Research articles: they are unpublished articles that present the results of final research work and that also constitute a contribution to scientific knowledge and understanding of the phenomenon under study (empirical research). They have a formal methodology and their results are rigorously analyzed (See Word template).

  • Theoretical Articles: these are articles that present the state of the art, critical reflections and/or theoretical/conceptual proposals related to the thematic lines of the magazine, and that allow identifying relationships or inconsistencies in the topic investigated, as well as making proposals for subsequent studies. (See Word template).

  • Review articles: they correspond to those articles, which are the result of an investigation where the findings of published or unpublished research on a field in science are analyzed, systematized and integrated, in order to report advances and development trends. It is recommended to present a bibliographic review, with a minimum of 50 references (See template).

RIDU adopts the continuous publication modality in such a way that once an article is accepted for publication, it will immediately be published online.


Lines of investigation

The magazine focuses on the following lines of research:

  • Research on university teachers and students.

  • Presentation and analysis of university pedagogical models.

  • Pedagogical innovations.

  • Use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Higher Education.

  • Evaluation and measurement of university educational quality.

  • Review and analysis of topics related to higher education.


Periodicity: Biannual
