Resumen
CORSICO, Luciano. Fichte and Heidegger: the Problematic Ontological Meaning of the Wissenschaftslehre. arete [online]. 2016, vol.28, n.1, pp.31-60. ISSN 1016-913X.
The aim of this article is to point out the limitations of an ontological interpretation of Fichte’s philosophy. During the period of Jena (17941799), Fichte clearly attributes a secondary role to the concept of being. That is to say, Fichte’s transcendental philosophy starts by excluding any ontological significance from his own reflection. However, Martin Heidegger’s ontological-existential interpretation of Fichte’s philosophy has achieved an enormous influence in the recent scholarly literature. Heidegger’s interpretation emphasizes excessively the ontological significance of Fichte’s philosophy and forgets its practical significance and its corresponding methodological standards.
