This article aims to analyze the elements that make up the landscapes and the conditions of precarization and death of Afro youth in the southern Colombian Pacific, inherent to the sociability dynamics of necropolitics and the global neoliberal project. The text is the result of an ethnographic research anchored in participations in spaces of cultural organizations and in the narratives of young people from the municipality of Tumaco, department of Nariño, in the southern Colombian Pacific region. The theoretical developments presented here allow for the analysis of the current forms of structural and direct violence on the precarious lives of young people, understanding the youthicide that occurs in this region of the world and that makes up the panorama of violence against Afro-Colombian youth as part of the dynamics of necropolitics. We will refer to this phenomenon as “afrojuvenicide.”
