The study on the floristic diversity of the lomas of Jicamarca, Huarochiri, Lima, Peru associated with the coastal phenomenon El Niño during the summer of 2010, is presented, in order to list and identify the species present in these lomas; making collections and taking pictures. 44 species of vascular plants distributed in 18 families and 35 genera were recorded; the Asteraceae and Solanaceae families have nine species each, followed by Malvaceae with four species; the largest amount are herbs with 28 species, 13 species of shrubs, two species of succulents and one species of climbers. Nine endemic species were registered; Exodecomus prostratus, Nolana humifusa and Nicotiana paniculata (Solanaceae), Ophryosporus pubescens (Asteraceae); Atriplex rotundifolia (Amaranthaceae), Heliotropium pilosum (Heliotropiaceae); Cistante paniculata (Montiaceae), Haageocereus limensis (Cactaceae) and Oxalis lomana (Oxalidaceae). It is concluded that there is an interesting diversity of species in general and also endemic species in areas that must wait until another El Niño event, which will not be possible due to the loss of habitat due to the urban occupation of the area.
